Pablo Torre’s new ‘multimillion-dollar’ secret sponsorship claim might mean trouble for Kawhi Leonard, Clippers

In a shocking turn of events, Pablo Torre has seemingly exposed a new Kawhi Leonard scandal with the Los Angeles Clippers before the first one is even resolved.

Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers must be sick at the sound of Pablo Torre’s name at this point. His journalism has resulted in an NBA investigation into their dealings that is still ongoing.

Torre reported in September 2025 that the Clippers had possibly circumvented the NBA salary cap by paying Leonard through Aspiration, one of their sponsors. Both parties have continually denied this.

Now, he has come out with another report that indicates further payments to Leonard made through a different organisational sponsor. The scandal appears to be growing even bigger.

Kawhi Leonard allegedly hid a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal with Daktronics​

The LA Clippers’ new home arena, the Intuit Dome, has been the envy of the league. One of their innovative additions was the Halo Board, which was built by a company named Daktronics.

This is relevant to the case because Torre is now alleging that Kawhi had a multimillion-dollar deal with them that he failed to disclose. This adds more money going to him, on top of his salary and the alleged Aspiration deal.


“This was talked about just openly within the organisation, that Kawhi was a spokesperson for Daktronics,” Torre’s high-level anonymous source said on his show. “It was 1000% a way to circumvent the salary cap.”

The journalist himself added, “This Kawhi deal was not just talked about by higher-ups with the Clippers to circumvent the salary cap. This second source was also told that Kawhi’s Daktronics sponsorship was a multimillion-dollar deal.”

This is another bombshell from Torre, and one that will likely have to be taken into consideration by the NBA. As the allegations continue to mount, it will be interesting to see what Leonard and the Clippers have to say.

Kawhi’s trade to the Raptors has been put on hold thanks to the investigation into the Aspiration scandal. With potentially new information coming to light, the entire move could be put in jeopardy.
