The College Sports Commission released its latest NIL Data Report detailing the numbers behind the Name, Image, and Likeness deals being processed across the country.

The College Sports Commission (CSC) began using its third-party platform NIL Go in June 2025 to work as a clearinghouse, determining whether or not an NIL deal met the standards to be considered valid and approved for payment.

Since NIL Go's launch, the platform has cleared $355.24 million across 34,195 NIL deals. Meanwhile, 1,812 deals worth a combined $89.85 million were not cleared.

The data report says 41% of deals submitted were resolved within 24 hours, with NIL Go processing about 90 deals per day.

NIL deals pick up in spring

May 1 through June 30 of this year saw a sharp increase in in NIL deals submitted to be cleared — 8,298 deals were submitted in the 60-day window with 7,639, or nearly 89%, being cleared worth $112.89 million. In that same timeframe, 659 deals worth $33.68 million were not cleared.

NIL deals reach a solution with a week of submission 63% of the time. The CSC is working to get more information on the remaining 37% of deals, requesting information from the "student-athlete, deal sponsor, or institution via communication outside of the software platform (NIL Go) to make a determination on the deal."

There are 41,183 student athletes registered with NIL Go, or about 20% of the more than 190,000 total student-athletes playing Division I athletics. NIL Go reports 5,858 registered representatives, and 1,354 registered users at institution schools.
