NORMAN — OU basketball guard Jeff Nwankwo plans to enter the transfer portal, his agent Daniel Poneman told The Oklahoman on Monday.
Nwankwo averaged 2.9 points in 24 appearances for the Sooners this past season. The Oklahoma City native was previously a NJCAA All-American at Cowley College in 2023-24.
After transferring from Cowley, Nwankwo missed the entire 2024-25 season due to injury.
This past season, Nwankwo's minutes decreased as the season went on and he didn't play in OU's last 11 games.
Nwankwo didn't travel with the Sooners to Las Vegas for the College Basketball Crown due to an internal team matter.
