Harvin is due $41.5M over the next 4 years.

Their trade to acquire him was one of the few blunders they've made in recent years... and it was a big blunder. 2 picks, one of them a 1st rounder for an undersized WO who was oft injured and had a dubious rep as a "big play" receiver. What kind of big play wide out gets 11 yards per catch? His only plus value came as a return man and giving up that kind of trade package and 11 mil a year for a returner is lunacy.

He's always been a RB playing WR.

As someone else said his value is as a return man not a WR. Maybe they finally figured that out and decided to cut bait but sure seems like they're going to take a big salary hit.

For a guy who can line up at wide receiver and running back, it seems strange that the Seahawks couldn't do a better job integrating him into the game plan.

There were pre-draft concerns about Harvin's posse. Now he has worn out his welcome with two teams.
