Yikes. Not exactly enamored with Simpson, so far against Indiana.
Me neither. If he is our option I would rather wait...

Trade back a bit, get a pass rusher..or trade back a bit more and get a RT...
Then trade back into the first round with our 37....
Grab Carson Beck from Miami... more starts and wins than any of the other guys..58-20 TD to INT ratio.... 6'4, 225...started at Georgia 2 seasons, went something like 23-3 or something... hurt his arm last December and needed surgery so he canceled his draft plans and portaled to Miami since Georgia already moved on.... went like 12-2 at Miami...
Dude has the body, the experience, the controversy...

Biggest knock on Beck......he was the idiot college kid that shined a light on N.I.L. by buying himself a Lamborghini a while back...

But now he knows...he has to live life on the DL.

He is a better prospect than Simpson even with the elbow surgery.

Seeing what Cignetti has done as an HC and who he worked with as an assistant…he definitely has shown the mindset of turning bad organizations around. Bidwill would never, but it’s this type of guy they should be looking for.

it was always mendoza
That is exactly why I started hyping him up last year.
Was hoping some of the guys around here would watch the season so they could see how good of a prospect he really is.

I would pay the price.

However, if Sneaky Pete is still in Vegas it isn't likely he trades.
He has time to develop a smart young QB...but he doesn't have time to wait around and see if a similar or better prospect will come along in a year or two.

Plus theres that Heisman thing to consider... Baby Bowl cut ain't no Al...but it was almost like a tradition back when commitment to Excellence was said with a straight face.... Mark has to be getting sick of...that...all of it....laughingstock funny farm ridiculous forking joke....he has to have that inner "screw you" that made Al great....it needs to come front and center

How the fudge do I know dude it's January first FFS.

But there is always someone willing to trade... anybody that's been here longer than a lingering part knows there will be 40 first round draft picks coming out of the combine.
Some GM will fall in love with a MIKE, or a SS and not want to risk losing there guy.
It happens every year.
However I don't recall anyone ever successfully picking a trade, and the target of the trade...while the season was still being played

I'm liking his OC Mike Shanahan....dude has an impressive list of accolades...the only negative is that the accolades are from smaller schools....

But it's hard to elevate a 1 star recruit to ACC player of the year/month/day....

Less so with 4 and 5 star recruits...the same accolades at a more prominent school would be less impressive...for the player ones...
The offensive rankings and records on the other hand.....

Indiana is a great story but make no mistake it's not just coaching that built that program it was primarily NIL. Cignetti has done a great job but they are winning because Cuban and the NIL program gave them the money to compete in the new NCAA.

But if Indiana can do it, that means anybody can. That is the great lesson for all the schools that have been perennial also-rans or even outright losers. I mean if you can win at Indiana or even Vanderbilt, where is it not possible?

Oh 100%. Just saying if the idea of calling him out as a coaching candidate for us is the job he did at IU, realize he won't have the advantage here he does there. He won't be able to outspend people.

I do think he's done a great job. In college 100% it shows with NIL the game has shifted.

Have they spent a lot on transfers? I admit I have no idea. I was thinking today he's done this with someone else's recruits for the most part. He's been great everywhere he's been a head coach. That team plays smart, composed, and disciplined. I'd love to think we could somehow get him (I know we can't). But some of his coaches maybe?

Just checked and looks like he's brought in 49 transfers so yeah, that's half his roster. I still think he's done an amazing job.

Someone told me Indiana has Mark Cuban’s money. Is that true?
