I'm confused the article suggests this alleged affair happened when he was Louisville, not Texas.

They can fire him for not coaching well now, they can fire him for off field incidents now, but why would they fire him for an affair that happened a few years before he got to Texas? Unless they asked him up front if he had anything to hide and he said no?

Holding his players to a strict standard comes off as hypocritical. he has run off a bunch of players and now his staff is bolting on him. Something is up.

Id be happy with anybody other than Graham.

Charlie is a very good coach. Its the reason he got the Texas job. But the fact he failed in Texas isnt a testament to his coaching skills. Texas is a poison pit. Very few are successful there long-term.

Charlie would be great for ASU

This boycott crap happens every time (arguably) a coach gets canned). Fairly certain their scholarships require showing up for games.

Charlie Strong was set up for failure before his 1st day because billionaire Texas boosters like T Boone Pickens was threatening to boycott the program because he was mad they hired a black guy as head coach.

They love them boys as players, not so much as authority figures.

Im surprised Charlie lasted this long.

T. Boone Pickens is not a Texas booster. T Bone is an Oklahoma State Booster to the tune of a couple of hundred million $$$$$ and he has a bad relationship with Mike Gundy a white coach.

Various media reports had Herman as the primary target at LSU, which moved on from Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher. However, sources have told Yahoo Sports that Texas remained a strong option for Herman.
