OT - Auction for championship items relevant to early Cardinals history

Hello,

I am an amateur gridiron historian and had to share these neat pieces of championship history, knowing the Cardinals are the oldest franchise in the NFL and have a huge part in the formation and evolution of the NFL.

A first year NFL championship fob from the 1920 Buffalo All Americans, a 1925 Pottsville Maroons ring, and a 1947 Chicago Cardinals fob are items that relate to the Cards.

Harvard was a creator of gridiron football in 1874 and 1875. The Rutgers vs Princeton game as being the first game is a myth.

That's what I thought. I don't know how, but somehow.

Feels like a Monkey's Paw or something. I'd buy it and the Cardinals would move to Pottsville and change their name, winning a Super Bowl immediately. I believe this is what happened to the Browns.

For what it's worth, that IS a player ring. Frank Racis came straight from the coal mines; no college ball.

I am well aware of the Pottsville curse. Glad the Maroons have not been forgotten.

The city of Buffalo may have legitimate claims to the 1920 and 1921 titles. The NFL was quite turbulent in the 1920s. Hartford had a franchise in 1926.

However, the Cards won the NFL title outright 22 years later. How can there be a curse when you won a title after the supposed curse was cast upon them?

1947 Cardinals fob was not photographed in a manner where the name of the player shows. That has been corrected. Notice the photo added with the fob angled, showing the player's name engraved.

If anyone wants to go for it, well worth it.

The Maroons ring is an actual player's ring, too, not a duplicate; seems rings became popular in football after those were issued.
