I wouldn't bet against Mariota excelling by going to a team that actually builds on his strengths. The issue with Mariota is that he has always been at his best when he isn't forced to be a pocket passer. Get him out on the perimeter and let him use his athleticism.

Did he just reset the market for Drake?

I'd rather have Ekeler than Drake.

I never understand how so many other teams find late round or UDFA RBs and the Cardinals struggle to do that. Almost every UDFA RB the Cardinals bring in obviously doesn't belong in the NFL, and you'll watch other teams have 4-5 solid backs in the preseason.

DJ Foster might be a nice special teams player, but he has never looked like he belonged on an NFL roster when he was actually needed to carry the football.

Well Gruden is a West Coast offensive guy. Imo No way he’s changing or that Marriotta can succeed running that. Gruden is a hard ass on a QB & I just can’t see that sitting well with a subpar QB

Keep in mind he is a low risk, high reward signing. Has had injury issues the past two seasons but not much prior to that.
