Osa Odighizuwa isn't hiding his feelings about who he wants to face in 2026.

When asked on the Richard Sherman Podcast which game he had circled on the San Francisco 49ers' 2026 schedule, the newly acquired defensive tackle didn't reach for the cliché. He went straight to his old team.

Odighizuwa, who was traded in March to the 49ers from the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 third-round pick, told Sherman that he was already excited for the game from the other side, and now he's ready to take on the Cowboys as a part of the 49ers.

"It's a game where you got a picture on a dart board and you throwing the knife at the picture," Odighizuwa said. "Now I just take down the picture and I put up the other picture and I'm on the other side of it. But the energy is exactly the same."

The 49ers and Cowboys face off in Week 10 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas — the first time these two sides have met since San Francisco won at home in 2024. As Sherman alluded to, these two teams have had some historical rivalries, highlighted by a lot of late postseason matches over the years.

The 49ers have won four consecutive games against the Cowboys — all games Odighizuwa played in. Now, he'l be on the other sideline for the 49ers.

In five seasons for the Cowboys, Odighizuwa tallied 216 tackles, 81 quarterback hits, 17 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed.
