Orlando Pride Assistant Coach Giles Barnes headed to Al Qadsiah FC (Saudi Women’s Premier League) as new head coach

Today, the Orlando Pride have announced that assistant coach Giles Barnes will be departing to club to become the new head coach of Al Qadsiah FC of the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Barnes originally joined the club in 2022 alongside Seb Hines for the final 15 games. His interim basis was made permanent ahead of the 2023 season. The coaching staff has brought Orlando into excellence.

He helped lead the Pride to the 2024 double: championship and shield. The team also qualified for playoffs in the 2025 season.

The Pride and assistant coach Giles Barnes have mutually agreed to part ways. Giles departs the Club to become the new head coach of Al Qadsiah FC of the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
