Oregon men's basketball heads to Canada for exhibition games

Oregon coach Dana Altman will get his first look and his rebuilt roster when the Ducks play three men's basketball games in Canada between Aug. 8-11.

Altman brought in 10 new players during the offseason – eight transfers and two freshmen – to join lone returner Sean Stewart and a pair of returning walk-ons.

The Ducks will open their exhibition run Saturday with a game against Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, B.C., followed by Trinity Western on Sunday in Langley, B.C. and then Thompson Rivers on Tuesday in Vancouver.


Oregon's newcomers are transfer guards Fred Payne (Boston College) Jerry Easter II (Southern California), Jasper Johnson (Kentucky), Tyrone Riley IV (San Francisco) and forwards Dwayne Aristode (Arizona), Taylor Bol Bowen (Alabama), Pharaoh Compton (San Diego State) and Andrew Meadow (Boise State).

The new freshman forwards Tajh Ariza and Seven Spurlock.
