Oregon fans celebrate after Ducks score massive recruiting day

The fireworks came early for Oregon Duck fans, with a double-Duck day leading to a lot of celebration on social media Wednesday afternoon.

Oregon picked up commitments from both 4-star ATH Tae Walden Jr. and 5-star CB Hayden Stepp in a span of minutes, bumping them up to No. 2 in the 2027 national recruiting rankings.

Walden is rated as the No. 56 player and No. 4 ATH in the 2027 class, projected to play either at wide receiver or defensive back. It didn't take long for Oregon to add another elite player, with 5-star cornerback Hayden Stepp announcing his commitment just minutes later.

Stepp stands at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, and is rated as the No. 16 player and No. 3 CB in the class, per ESPN.

While more fireworks are expected later in the week when 5-star WR Xavier Sabb announces his commitment on Friday, fans took the chance to celebrate on Wednesday on social media:
