Since taking over as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks, Dan Lanning has helped turn the program into one of the best destinations for recruits and transfer portal players. He has also led the program to being one of the best in the nation on the field.

As Oregon looks to take the next step and win a national championship, Lanning has continued to be elite at recruiting high school talent and adding the right pieces to his roster.

Right now, the Ducks have the No. 7 ranked recruiting class in the nation when it comes to the 2026 recruiting class, according to On3 Sports.

Lanning will not be satisfied with being No. 7 in the nation. He has been working on bringing in quite a few highly talented players to add to the class.

Hailing from Kennedy Catholic in Seattle, Washington, Colman-Brusa is currently ranked by On3 Sports as the No. 21 edge rusher in the class. He is ranked as the No. 159 overall player in the nation and the No. 1 ranked prospect in the state of Washington as well.

On Sunday, the Ducks received a bad update about their pursuit of the talented defender.

Back on March 4 of 2025, Oregon had been given an 89.1% chance of landing his commitment. On Sunday, those chances were updated to the Ducks having a 31.7% chance, with the Washington Huskies jumping them at 63.7%.

Anything can happen in the recruiting world. Oregon could still land his commitment when it's all said and done.

At this point in time, all Lanning and the Ducks can do is continue staying in touch, recruiting, and hoping that they can bring him onboard.
