One more Oregon Duck is headed to Hollywood.

Oregon closer Devin Bell was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers with the final pick in the 10th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. Bell, a Western Oregon transfer, pitched at the back end of the Ducks' bullpen all season long and locked up wins in big spots.

Bell earned second-team All-Big Ten honors after leading the Ducks with 12 saves last season and finishing with a 3.86 ERA. The senior reliever often went multiple innings out of the bullpen, relying on his experience as a starter. In the regular season finale against USC, Bell tossed four shutout innings from the bullpen and racked up seven strikeouts in the extra-innings victory.

Throughout the regular season, the Ducks' bullpen was dependable because of the combination of Bell and Tanner Bradley at the back end. Although there were some bumps in the road against UCLA and Texas in the postseason, Bell was one of the best and most reliable arms for the Ducks all season long.

Bell throws a mid-to-high 90s fastball and has a big gyro slider that draws plenty of swing-and-miss. That should play well in the minor leagues as he continues to develop in a great organization, known for developing well and having a keen eye for talent.

The Dodgers must have been keeping a close eye on the Ducks this season. The Dodgers also drafted Miles Gosztola in the eighth round, keeping the Oregon starter and closer together. Gosztola still can return to Oregon if he wants to, but Bell is out of eligibility and is expected to sign.

The Ducks are putting together a strong showing in the MLB draft. Ryan Cooney was the first Duck selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the third round, while Cal Scolari went to the Chicago White Sox in the fifth, and Maddox Molony was taken by the Detroit Tigers in the sixth.
