Penn State will be on the field at Beaver Stadium in 95 days for its season opener against Marshall. The guy kicking off to start that game might just be No. 95 Cristiano Rosa.
The redshirt senior is a well-traveled player, who originally played at his home state Central Connecticut State. There, Rosa played in just one game and also redshirted a season.
He transferred to James Madison and played in 27 games over the course of two years, serving as the team’s primary kickoff specialist. He did make a 40-yard field goal and a few extra points in his time there, but it was as a kickoff guy that he accounted for 114 touchbacks in his two seasons.
The Lions will hope to see a few of those in 95 days when they’re at home against the Thundering Herd.
