We are just weeks away from the start of training camp for NFL teams. The 2026 season will see their preseason start less than a month from now, and with everything fast approaching, the time for final thoughts and takeaways on rosters is starting.
ESPN is in the thick of it all in terms of their reflection on NFL rosters. They recently posted several talking points for fans to think about with their teams with various analysts from their network. One of the angles they recently discussed was one non-starter to know on rosters.
For the Vikings, they chose the talented Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins.
ESPN's Aaron Schatz discussed him, writing, "A fifth-round pick out of Georgia in 2025, Ingram-Dawkins is the only drafted player on the edge depth chart behind starters Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner. He's moving over after playing inside as a 5-tech defensive end last season. In 2025, he had a higher pass rush win rate inside (17.6%) than on his edge snaps (8.0%). None of Minnesota's edge rushers played more than 67% of the snaps last season, so Ingram-Dawkins is going to get even more chances to make plays in 2026."
Ingram-Dawkins made his presence known in 2025 as a rookie, and with the departures the team has seen he will be leaned on more in 2026. He is a very fun choice for them to pick as he is overlooked in the eyes of many nationally, even in the eyes of fans on the team.
