Heading into the 2026 Winter Olympics, figure skating was expected to be a heavy hitter. The competition rarely disappoints -- the axels, toe loops, Salchows and Lutzes that make up skaters' routines tend to enchant audiences.

This year's tournament has been especially noteworthy. In the team event, the United States shined, outgunning Japan by one point to take home the gold. France returned the favor in ice dance, controversially downing the Americans by a razor-thin margin.

Now, the action shifts to its final trio of events. Men's singles, pairs and women's singles will take hold of the Milano Ice Center in the coming few days, with the likes of Ilia Malinin, Riku Miura, Ryuichi Kihara and Amber Glenn all expected to dazzle in their respective events.

If the team event and ice dance were any indication, the competition will be fierce in men's and women's singles and pairs. Given the stakes, it's only right that things will be hotly-contested.

The Sporting News is tracking the Olympic figure skating standings in men's singles, women's singles and pairs throughout the 2026 tournament. Follow below for an updated table of the rankings in each event.
