A resurfaced conversation between former Miami Heat teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro has taken an unfortunately ironic turn following their Friday physical altercation in Las Vegas.
After ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Adebayo apparently struck Herro in the altercation over alleged social media criticism from Herro, a video started going viral of Adebayo saying that Herro is the Heat teammate that would most have his back in a fight.
“[I'm going to say Tyler Herro] just because we got the longest relationship," Adebayo told Herro when the latter asked him who would come to his support during a fight.
"Yeah, I'm coming," Herro responded to Adebayo.
Both players played college ball at Kentucky, although at separate ties, so there's a collegiate bond there that extended to the two playing for the Heat together. However, that bond appears pretty shaken at the moment.
What a sad turn of events for the former Heat teammates, with Herro part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade and now with the Milwaukee Bucks.
They say that they are aware of what's happening but declined to comment further.
