The Oklahoma Sooners picked up their 10th straight win with their 18th run-rule victory of the season, defeating Louisiana 10-0 in five innings. It was the second of two run-rule wins on the day after beating Abilene Christian 8-0.
Audrey Lowry got the start in the circle and threw four shutout innings, allowing one hit, no walks, and striking out five. Freshman Berkley Zache finished the game, allowing two hits in a scoreless fifth inning. Lowry moved to 11-1 on the season with the win.
The Sooners stole the show at the plate once again. Oklahoma added to its NCAA-leading home run total with five more long balls on Saturday, including a pair from Ella Parker.
Kasidi Pickering led off the game with a double, and Parker wasted little time putting Oklahoma on top with a two-run shot to left field on a 1-1 count. In the bottom of the second, it was the top of the order putting runs on the board again. Pickering hit a three-run home run, and Parker followed it up with her second of the day to make it 6-0 after two innings.
Then in the bottom of the fourth, Kendall Wells hit her second home run of the day and her 18th of the season, a two-run bomb that left the ballpark to give OU an 8-0 lead. Two batters later, Lexi McDaniel hit her second home run of the day and seventh of the season to put the Sooners up 10-0.
It was a 3-for-3 day for Parker, who now has 10 home runs and is hitting .508 on the season. Pickering was 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs.
The Sooners now have 99 home runs through 23 games in 2026, an average of 4.30 per game. The Sooners are hitting home runs at a tremendous rate and will threaten the NCAA record for home runs in a season set by the Sooners back in 2021 when they hit 161.
The Oklahoma Sooners will be back in action on Sunday at 12:30 when they take on Louisiana.
