The Oklahoma City Thunder (and the Seattle Supersonics before them) have 51 jersey numbers worn by the players who have suited up for the franchise since its founding at the start of the 1967-68 season. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Thunder Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team.
And while those Supersonics jerseys may not remain part of the franchise history should a new team be established in Seattle as was the case with the return of the Charlotte Hornets, they are part of the Thunder's history today.
For this article, we continue with the 26th jersey number in the series, jersey No. 24, with 14 players in total having donned the jersey in the history of the franchise.
The ninth of those players did so in the Seattle SuperSonics era, forward alum Antonio Harvey. After ending his college career at Pfeiffer University, Harvey would go unselected in the 1993 NBA draft, instead signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he'd play the first two seasons of his pro career.
The Pascagoula, Mississippi native would also have stints with the (then) Vancouver (now, Memphis) Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers before he signed with Seattle in 1996. His stay with the team would span just six games before he'd be cut for the first of two stints with the team, with Harvey heading overseas for a few seasons and another two with the Portland Trail Blazers before 5 more games with the SuperSonics in 2001 before he was cut again,
During his time suiting up for the Sonics, Harvey wore only jersey Nos. 24 and 4 and put up 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
