Ohio State, year in and year out, is an NFL factory. The Buckeyes consistently have one of the best rosters in college football. All the way from the older guys who will head to the NFL to the incoming freshmen who will play this fall, the Buckeyes have dudes. In familiar fashion, there is one new freshman who is creating a ton of buzz in camp.
In a recent article, Brad Crawford breaks down another freshman phenomenon the Buckeyes have this season on offense. Here is what he had to say about Legend Bey:
"It takes a lot to have a comparative physique to Jeremiah Smith, but Bey's already almost there as a freshman. He's added noticeable muscle in his first few months on campus following a body transformation, a credit to Buckeyes strength and conditioning coach Mick Marotti, and looks like a player who could have a role in his first season behind Bo Jackson and Isaiah West in the backfield. When you're labeled as a "poor man's Tyreek Hill" by your head coach, that's high praise. Coaches got an extended look at the former Tennessee commit during the spring due to a rushing attack marred by injuries, and Bey made the most of his chance in the spotlight."
The rich get richer, and the Buckeyes continue their historic run with another future great prospect at running back. Bey will contribute early, and with how lethal the Buckeyes passing attack will be this season, there will be a great opportunity for him and the rest of the running backs to feast on passive defenses. The Trojans defense will have its hands full with the Buckeyes offense that has as many players of Legend Bey's caliber in Week 11.
