It’s been a long couple of months, but Penn State finally got its first 2027 commitment in four-star Florida cornerback Semajay Robinson. The lanky Florida cornerback visited Happy Valley last summer for a camp, and then was back in State College this weekend for a visit with the new staff.

Obviously, one of the key holdovers from the previous staff to this staff is cornerback Terry Smith, who played a pivotal part in Robinson’s commitment. While Robinson’s massive 6-foot-3 frame mean he might grow into a safety, the plan certainly seems to be to keep him at cornerback. If there’s one major focus of Campbell’s recruiting/scouting efforts, it’s that size matters. That’s on the offensive line and defensive live, but that carries over to the secondary as well. Robinson fits that mold to a T.
