Real Madrid have published a medical report on defender Ferland Mendy, who suffered a hamstring injury during the team’s 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16.
Following tests carried out on our player Ferland Mendy by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the biceps femoris of his right leg. Pending evolution.

Mendy is expected to miss around two weeks with this injury, and while he will try his best to be ready for the Madrid Derby on March 22nd, it looks like it won’t be possible for him to play in that crucial game.
The French left-back has struggled staying healthy all throughout last year. His performance during that first half against City was phenomenal, so having him available and ready to play in the Champions League’s Quarterfinals would increase Arbeloa’s options.
