Botswana FNB Premiership outfit Mochudi Centre Chiefs have announced the signing of Zimbabwean striker Evans Rusike.

The 35-year-old forward joins from the relegated Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Yadah FC, on a one-and-a-half-year deal.

Rusike will don the number 18 jersey and is expected to add experience and goals in Chiefs' attack, having previously featured for several clubs in the South African topflight.

He turned out for Maritzburg United, the now-defunct SuperSport United, Sekhukhune United, and Moroka Swallows during his spell in the lucrative South African PSL.

With over 170 appearances in Mzansi shores, Rusike scored 30 goals and provided 20 assists, establishing himself as one of the finest forwards at the time.

Meanwhile, his new team, Chiefs, sit fifth in the Botswana topflight standings, having accumulated 24 points in 14 league outings.

Notably, the club is owned by a consortium led by Kaizer Chiefs legend Stanton ‘Stiga’ Fredericks on a 15-year management deal.
