Odell Beckham Jr. met with New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh and team executives during the NFL annual meetings in Arizona to explore a potential return to the franchise where his professional career began.

ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports that the 33-year-old wide receiver, who did not play last season, presented his case earlier this week. No agreement is imminent, but the Giants have shown interest in adding the veteran pass catcher.

Odell Beckham Jr. came to the Arizona Biltmore during the NFL's annual meetings and met with New York Giants coach John Harbaugh on Monday about potentially joining the team, sources told ESPN.

Beckham also stated his case to team brass. Multiple sources told ESPN no deal is imminent.

But there is some degree of interest from the Giants, even though Beckham did not play this past season. The 33-year-old wide receiver has already stated his desire to return to the place where it all began.

Beckham previously played under Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, recording 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns. Harbaugh spoke warmly of their ongoing relationship, noting they maintain regular communication and describing Beckham as one of his favorite people.

The coach emphasized evaluating all options that could benefit the team.

"You look at every option, and Odell is an option," Harbaugh said during the NFC coaches' breakfast. "He and I do talk, and we do text. We maintain a really great relationship. He's one of my very favorite people in the world. So, it's not like you don't talk to guys about things like that. And certainly we have.

"We'll see where it all goes. What's best for him? What's best for the Giants? That's the number one thing: What's best for our team? Any player, if he helps you be a better team and can make you better, then you're going to pursue that. We'll just see where that goes."

General manager Joe Schoen confirmed Beckham remains on the team's list of free agents under consideration. He noted the Giants would likely require a workout before proceeding, given the time away from competitive play.

"Typically, if it's not one of these higher-paid guys, coming off a season where -- we're not going to work out Isaiah Likely or somebody -- but somebody that hasn't played, in this instance you're talking about Odell hasn't played in a year, you'd certainly want to see him work out," Schoen said on Monday.

The organization has added depth at receiver in recent weeks, but continues to assess opportunities for improvement.

Beckham has expressed clear enthusiasm about rejoining the Giants, particularly the chance to play alongside young quarterback Jaxson Dart.

In a recent interview with Kay Adams, he said the opportunity "sounds great" and that he "would love to do that" if it arises. Current players have voiced support as well, with wide receiver Malik Nabers commenting, "Let's play together" on one of Beckham's social media posts.

The discussions reflect Beckham's desire to return to familiar surroundings and contribute veteran leadership to a developing offense. A workout in the coming weeks could provide further clarity on a possible reunion.
