BINGHAMTON — One more to go.

Oakfield-Alabama's pursuit of a 2026 NYSPHSAA high school softball championship will conclude on Saturday, June 13. The Hornets will meet Section IV champion Windham-Ashland-Jewett in the Class D final.

O-A reached the Class D title game thanks in part to its 9-0, semifinal victory over Section III champion Cincinnatus. Follow along below with updates as the Hornets seek their first state championship in program history.

What time does Oakfield-Alabama softball play in the NYSPHSAA Class D final?​


Oakfield-Alabama and Windham-Ashland-Jewett are set for a 10:30 a.m. first pitch in the NYSPHSAA Class D high school softball championship game.

Where is the NYSPHSAA Class D softball final?​


Binghamton's Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park will host the NYSPHSAA Class D final. O-A and W-A-J will play on Field 1.

Oakfield-Alabama softball information​

  • Record: 19-1
  • State rank: 1st
  • Playoff resume: Section V champion defeated Fillmore, 6-4, in the Class D1 final before its 13-1 victory over Avoca/Prattsburgh in the Section V Class D regional qualifier. Defeated Section VI champion Forestville, 6-1, in regional playoff before 9-0, semifinal triumph over Cincinnatus of Section III.

Windham-Ashland-Jewett softball information​

  • Record: 20-0
  • State rank: 4th
  • Playoff resume: Section IV champions allow just 2.3 runs per game. Defeated Section IX champion Chapel Field Christian, 10-1, in regionals before a 1-0, NYSPHSAA semifinal victory over Fort Ann of Section III.
