I have the feeling he has played his last game with us.

I think I have seen enough out of man man that it isn't worth it to resign Williams.
If you can sign and flip for some thing you do it. But I agree Suns are going Man Man and Oso

Letting Mark Williams walk without a sign and trade, amounts to throwing two first round picks away.

the nuggets are such a tough matchup for us that jokic let's the rest of his team beat us - he'll just do all the little genius things that won't show up on the stat sheet but destroy us

he's so freakin smart we might not even see manman unless jokic is sitting - jokic will more than toy with maluach - he toys with everybody

i think we are more susceptible to the nuggets than we are the thunder or spurs

Cap space and staying under the tax has value also. The firsts were very low firsts, and we did get some use out of him and got to audition him in our system, so I don't agree they were thrown away. Used unwisely perhaps.

I'm not going to quibble over the wording "thrown away" or "used unwisely." First round picks are still first round picks. They have more value than second round picks.

Cap space is a continual issue under the CBA and not just for the contract of Mark Williams. The Suns have other players they will need to sign. It could be difficult waters to navigate.

Especially when we hardly have any for the next so many years.

we needed williams 100%

richards never did grasp the system
oso was no where near ready
khaman was even less ready

this year would have been the predicted disaster most thought it would be- having williams allowed us to see what we are and could be - williams set the bar high playing defense - beating other centers downcourt and going hard at the rim with oso absorbing it all

even if we lose williams in the offseason i would still make that trade again especially now knowing just how raw maluach is/was

Well the way I look at it is do I want to invest midlevel money in Mark Williams - not really. I don't trust his ability to stay healthy.

Can we sign and trade him for something - maybe, but is it something we need? What I would want is picks and cap relief. I don't think we can get that.

We don't really need any more guards and wings unless they are better than what we have. Could we get a lesser center or power forward maybe but if it's a center it is likely to be our #3 center and I don't want to pay 10 million for a #3 center.

I am just thinking the easiest thing to do is going to be to let him walk.

We will see what kind of offers Williams receives in RFA and go from there.

I am concerned that Williams is just done.

We could reeeeally use him in this one.
On the radio they said he would be back in the 2nd to last or last road trip game (next road trip).

Mark Williams did himself a favor and the Suns one. Playing all these games and not bad will give himself a contract somewhere. If he can come back this year and help the Suns he wii get the Suns something hopefully picks.

Mark Williams will need to play 5-on-5 before he can return from injury.
