The Denver Nuggets were at home on Tuesday night as they faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5 of their first round series.
Tuesday’s game was a massive one for both sides with the series tied at two games apiece as each team looked to take the advantage in the series.
It was Denver who would ultimately do just that after a dominant 131-115 victory, giving them a 3-2 lead in the series.
Denver started off the game hot, leading 35-23 at the end of the first quarter. Los Angeles was then able to cut into the lead in the second but the Nuggets never looked back as they dominated their way past the Clippers.
Jamal Murray led the way for the Nuggets as he scored 43 points while knocking down eight three-pointers to go along with five rebounds and seven assists.
Nikola Jokic also came up big by recording another triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
Denver also got a spark off their bench from Russell Westbrook who scored 21 points after coming back from a left foot injury that sidelined him for most of Game 3 and all of Game 4.
After their blowout victory, the Nuggets made a five-word statement on social media.
“WAS UP LATE NIGHT BALLIN’,” Denver posted on X after Tuesday’s victory.
The Nuggets’ statement is a correct one as Denver dominated their way to a win and they now have total control of the series.
Of course, the Nuggets can close out the series in Los Angeles on Thursday night but they will need another impressive performance out of their core to do so.

They also hope to not blow the lead like they did last season in the Western Conference Semifinals when they allowed the Minnesota Timberwolves to come back from down 3-2.
Fans can catch Game 6 of the series on Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. EST on TNT.
