The 2025-26 all-league teams for Northern Section basketball have been released.
Among the selections were Foothill's Matt Poulsen, U-Prep's Trey Pringle and Redding Christian's Micah Skinner — with each taking home MVP in their respective leagues. Poulsen shared MVP honors with Chico forward Davis Parent in the Eastern Athletic League.
Redding Christian boys lead Redding-area teams with five selections in the Five-Star League. U-Prep followed with four selections in the Northern Athletic League.
Meanwhile, Foothill's Madison Hart, West Valley's Rainessa Matthews and Redding Christian's Weslynn Skinner each won MVP in their respective leagues. Skinner, a freshman, was joined by four other Lions on the Five Star all-league team.
Los Molinos boys coach Randy Gilbert took home Coach of the Year honors for the Five Star League, while Chester's Ty Watkins won it on the girls side. The EAL and NAL do not select a coach of the year.
