I think Mobley and Ross are starting for the Clippers since Maggette went down with an injury earlier this season.
However, he (Maggette) will probably get to see a lot more minutes than Ross.
The better L.A. team will require the Suns to play their best ball.
Cassell is as good as a point guard can be, his playoff experience combined with his deadly midrange game will cause some problems for Phoenix.
Cuttino Mobley isn't just one of the best shooters in the league. I remember him and Francis in the Rockets backcourt a couple years back. Mobley was isolated pretty often and could not be stopped by the Suns. However, we haven't had a defender like Raja back then.
Positively neither Cassell nor Mobley will ever be considered for the All-Defensive-Team. Not even if there were voted 20 of them.
Maggette will be tough. He is very athletic and physical. I haven't seen him play after his injury but many times the seasons before. He loved to slash to the basket which often resulted in foul trouble for the other team.
He also is one of the better post-up swingmen in the NBA and will use that strenght against Shawn from time to time.
Frankly, I have no idea how to stop Elton Brand. Double teams all the time, fronting as much as possible. But with Mobley, Cassel and Radmanovic, it will be risky. The Suns, however, have nobody who can slow down - leave alone stop - Brand.
Moreover Brand is one of the best in terms of offensive rebounding and a terrific shot blocker.
Chris Kaman developed a nice game and can be considered a legitimate starting center to respect. He's a decent rebounder and a good shotblocker.
Regarding the bench, eyes will be on Livingston who showed more than just flashes of becoming a star in this league and - of course - Maggette.
I don't know about Radmanovic' injury status. If he's gonna play, he will cause mismatches en masse.
The Clippers are far from a great defensive team, but the Suns won't find it as easy to score layers the way they used to against the other L.A. team.
Phoenix' trademark fastbreak could cause trouble for the Clipppers, since their transition D is nowhere near their halfcourt D. To be able to run, the Suns will need the ball and with Maggette, Brand and Kaman Phoenix will be tortured on the boards.
I see the biggest advantages for Phoenix in our bench production (unbelievable to say this just one year after we had no bench at all) and 3-point shooting.
All being said, the Clippers will be a far tougher oppontent than the Lakers were.
Suns in seven.
