After securing one of the top recruiting classes for the class of 2026, Notre Dame women's basketball has made a splash in the Class of 2027.

The Fighting Irish picked up a commitment from five-star prospect Eve Long Tuesday, May 20. The news was first reported by On3's Talia Goodman.

Long is a composite five-star recruit on the 247Sports site, ranked 12th overall in the nation and 2nd amongst power forward recruits in the Class of 2027.

BREAKING: Top 2027 recruit Eve Long has committed to Notre Dame.

The 6-3 forward chose the Fighting Irish over Duke, UCLA, UConn and Kansas.

The 6-foot-3 forward from Olathe, Kansas, chose Notre Dame over Duke, UConn, UCLA and Kansas, among others.

It's the first commit in the Class of 2027 for Niele Ivey and her staff. Notre Dame is bringing in. The Irish's 2026 class ranks amongst the best in the country, bringing in five, top-100 players to join returners like All-American Hannah Hidalgo. Notre Dame reached the Elite 8 last season for the first time since 2019 before falling to UConn.
