It's now like, what happened to the Sun Devil offense. Their defense has been fine the past three games.

I already have my ticket for this game.

ASU hasn't beaten Notre Dame.

ASU is due for a win against Notre Dame.

I want to see the students rush the field.

All of the fear I held for Utah is nearly doubled this week. I believed, and still do, that Utah's defensive front is near the top in all of College Football. However, Utah's offense is struggling with confidence and identity. Notre Dame doesn't have that problem.

ASU can will this game with a sharper TK.

DITTO!!!!!!!!

Needless to say, this game is the quintessential set-up game where, traditionally, ASU falls flat on its' face in front of the entire nation... And given how impotent our offense has become with Kelly back, the odds seem to favor another well-publicized blood bath!

However, I am in the "In Graham we Trust" camp... and so, maybe not entirely blindly, but perhaps with one eye completely closed, I will predict a stunning upset:

ASU: 21
ND: 17

I hear you 82. ASU opened as a slight favorite in this game, so technically they are the favorite and a ND win would be the "upset."

With that said, Notre Dame is a solid team all the way around. But we have faced better defenses in Stanford and in some respects, Utah. So I expect us to put more points on the board than the last couple of weeks. Especially since TK has another week of practice behind him, he should be sharper.

Golson is an extremely talented athlete, so hopefully we can contain him and prevent getting burned for big plays. Our D will have to play lights out.

I like to think that this will be another historic moment for ASU football. The crowd will be rocking and the national media spotlight will be shining. There have been so many games like this in the past when ASU has risen to the occasion over the years. I hope this is another one of them.

Your point about Golson is very valid. In many respects, he a carbon copy of Hundley and we know what Hundley did to us not too long ago...
Of course, we were a different team then, but how different? So yes, our defense will once again be tested big-time by another super-athletic, multi-dimensional QB.
I have very little faith that Kelly will be all that different than the Kelly we have seen the past 2 games. That said, he won both of those games... and so, while he looks totally lost and grotesquely incapable, as long as he does so and hangs up another W, I couldn't possibly care any less about the aesthetics! ;)

Just heard on the radio TG discussing Kelly. He said something to the effect that he ibroke his foot and had to have surgery. Wow. That explains things a bit. He clearly hasn't been 100%.

Too bad he is not playing like he was last year. He put up 362 yards passing against against ND last year, 3 TD's (but 2 picks)

I wish the Sun Devils had been more open about the right-foot injury Taylor Kelly suffered from the beginning. It would have been easier for the fans to understand rather than guess about the situation. Clearly it clarifies why Kelly has been off and why he still may have problems playing up to his capability.

Check out that Golson highlight video I posted above. His quickness makes Hundley look more like a big lumbering runner. Hundley is a great runner, but Golson looks like he has more speed, agility and quickness. I can see us whiffing at some tackles for sure.

God I hope so. ASU has been awesome these last couple of years, but I have been a little disappointed in the performances in big games. Last year ND, Stanford x 2, and Texas Tech, this year's UCLA debacle.

If we can pull out a win here, the sky is the limit for ASU this year and in the future. Tons of top-notch recruits attending on the ASU sideline including 2 5-stars and several 3/4 stars, national attention, and the ability to stay in the running for the playoff system.

ASU is set up with a ton of young talent moving forward. A win here shows we can play with anyone and will finally earn us the national respect we have been fighting for.

Potentially, a lot on the line for this game.

ASU has moved up to #9 in the playoff rankings, ND is at #10

Some of the higher ranked teams may end up with another loss or two. This could get interesting!

Wow!! With Mich St playing #14 Ohio St., should ASU beat ND, the Devils would stand a great shot at seeing another large leap up the rankings!!
