Norwich Tech’s John Mastorakis has been voted The Bulletin Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7-12. The Warriors senior collected three hits, including a solo home run, in a 12-3 season opening win against Ellis Tech.
This week saw plenty of standout performances in baseball, softball, boys lacrosse, and girls lacrosse across Eastern Connecticut. While there's no shortage of talent, we went and found the best of the best.

The Wildcats sophomore struckout 13 and allowed only two hits in an 11-0 softball win over East Lyme. Bourdon also hit a three-run homer in the first inning.
The Warriors senior powered Norwich Tech’s offense by going 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs in a 19-7 softball win over CTC rival Ellis Tech.
The Wildcats senior right hander struck out 12 over five innings to lift NFA to a 5-2 baseball victory over defending ECC champion Woodstock Academy.
The Killingly senior outfielder/pitcher made a fly ball catch with a runner on third base and made a perfect throw to home plate for a game-ending double play as Killingly edged Woodstock Academy, 5-4, in nine innings. Deslauriers also allowed only one run and struck out seven over five innings in Killingly’s 15-1 softball victory over Ellis Tech.
The Wolverines senior goalkeeper made 17 saves to lift Griswold/Norwich Tech to a 9-8 non-league girls lacrosse win over Enfield. Emanuele also made 16 saves in a 7-1 loss against Valley Regional.

The Wildcats senior goalkeeper made 15 saves to lift Norwich Free Academy to a 6-5 non-league boys lacrosse win over Norwalk.
The Killingly senior righthander allowed only one hit with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 complete game baseball victory over St. Bernard.
The Wildcats senior scored nine goals and dished out two assists as Norwich Free Academy overcame a four-goal deficit to defeat Berlin, 19-11. Page also poured in nine goals in NFA’s 17-6 girls lacrosse win over Fitch.
