Team Norway’s World Cup win was sealed with a kiss!
After the squad defeated Senegal, 3-2, on Monday, June 22 at New York/New Jersey Stadium, Norway’s manager Ståle Solbakken ran into the crowd to share the moment with someone special.
In a video from the celebratory scene, Solbakken climbed up into the stands to find his wife, Anniken. The couple embraced and kissed as fans cheered alongside the coach.
Afterwards, the former soccer player joined his team and took part in the “Viking Row” with fans — Norway's celebration that fans have been doing on escalators and New York City subways as they root for their team — according to ESPN.
Norway’s Erling Haaland — who scored two goals in the victory that secured the team’s ticket to the knockout round — was among the celebratory players who joined in on the row.
"I saw it online; it's gone completely viral," Haaland said. "Martin [Ødegaard] asked me before the game: 'Do you think we should join in?' I said, 'If we win, let's do it, why not?' "

The team’s win comes after Norway defeated Iraq, 4-1, on Tuesday, June 16, at Boston Stadium in Massachusetts.
For that game as well, Norwegian fans came out in droves — with many leaning all the way into the Viking theme. Many fans were seen wearing Viking helmets and garb as the large groups made their way into the stadium and inside surrounding bars and restaurants.
One impressive group of Norway fans pulled off the Viking Row on an escalator, as seen in a video shared by ESPN.
As for Solbakken, the enthusiasm is appreciated — but he doesn’t expect players and coaches to participate in the Viking Row in the future.

"It's fun for the fans," Solbakken said after the win over Senegal. "We will not be rowing after the World Cup, but this can be a gimmick during the tournament."
