The Northern Section baseball playoffs are in full swing after a busy and exciting slate of first round games on Friday, May 15.
The losers from Divisions II and III will have another chance to fight their way into the section championship game. The losers will have to win two consecutive games while No. 1 Pleasant Valley and No. 3 Chico, the winners from Friday afternoon's contests, will only need one win to advance.
Those in Divisions IV-VI competed in single elimination games, with the higher seed winning each first-round matchup. Find out which teams won their first-round playoff games, plus see the top performers from each matchup.
