North DeSoto’s Miller Warren has been polishing his craft at tight end for what seems like forever and a day in Stonewall. And the strapping young man has earned his way into an opportunity to play at the next level.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Warren, a state champion baseball player, has football offers from Northwestern State, McNeese, South Alabama and Central Arkansas among others, but he recently committed to NSU for a very good reason. His best bud, Luke Delafield, is already a Demon.
“It helps that my best friend is there — Luke,” Warren said during the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Media Day. “We’ll have fun together, but we’ll also get business taken care of. ‘’

DISTRICT 1-4A: North DeSoto, Northwood expected to vie for 2026 District 1-4A title
Warren will be catching passes this fall from freshman Mason Smith, so his experience will be key in a talented receiving crew the Griffins will offer for opponents. Warren caught 42 passes for 438 yards and 11 TDs in 2025, averaging nearly 11 yards per reception year and he’s ready to add to that before moving on to Natchitoches.
“I feel very blessed because of the coaching staff and what they’re doing with the facilities,” Warren said. “They have one new facility and are building an indoor facility.
A three-year starter at NDHS, Warren said he’s blessed the Griffin offense calls for a tight end.
“We can do anything with a tight end. I can block. I can run pass routes — basically anything,” he said.
