The 2025-26 college football season has a lot of excitement building around the entire country, and plenty of teams are entering a new era of top players joining their team.

This is the case for the Auburn Tigers, who had a struggling 5-7 record in the 2024 campaign, and look to improve significantly.

They have taken those steps by attacking both recruiting high schoolers and the transfer portal has been an aggressive approach as well.

In the transfer portal, they acquired quarterback Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma to join their five-star highly touted recruit Deuce Knight in the quarterback room.

They also made a significant jump with wide receiver after former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets four-star Eric Singleton Jr. transferred to the Tigers.

He is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver from the transfer portal, and Pro Football Focus named him a prospect to know for the 2026 NFL Draft.

In his two years with the Yellow Jackets, Singleton posted 104 receptions for 1,468 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He added 22 carries for 140 yards and a score in Georgia Tech's run-heavy offense.

He now joins the SEC with hopes to explode his playmaking ability in a bigger spotlight, with the help of having Arnold likely throwing him the ball.

Arnold in his second season at Oklahoma was much more consistent compared to his freshman season, as he threw 12 touchdowns to just three interceptions, and has dual threat ability with 444 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground last season.

Throughout the season, it will be exciting watching what this new look Tigers offense can accomplish, and how head coach Hugh Freeze bounces back from an underwhelming 2024 season.

Freeze and the Tigers kick off 2025 play with a road battle against the Baylor Bears on August 29.
