Denison tied an NCAA Division III record with its 44th consecutive win, beating Piedmont 8-7 in a baseball Super Regional on May 23.

The Big Red, 45-1 and ranked No. 1 in the nation, advanced to their second consecutive College World Series. They will open the CWS on May 28 in Eastlake, Ohio. The eight Super Regional champions will be re-seeded for the tournament.

In the Super Regional clinching win, Jack Rollo pitched four innings and was 3 for 4 at the plate. Jack Lutte, Max Fishbein, Kelly Crittenberger and Nate Lloyd each had two hits.
