Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Nikko Remigio spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday at Missouri Western State University. He discussed his willingness to fight for more opportunities heading into the 2026 season.
"My mindset doesn't change at all. I consistently stay in a place of having everything to gain and nothing to lose," said Remigio. "I'm a firm believer in that, and I stood up here in front of you guys last year and told you that my mentality was that undrafted free agent that barely got a shot to make it, and I'm scratching and clawing, and I stand by that. So that's where my mentality is at."
During his Chiefs career, Remigio has appeared on 70 offensive snaps and 147 on special teams in 19 games and one start. He battled for an opportunity on the active roster since entering the league as an undrafted free agent, floating between the practice squad.
"I don't think there's one particular place. I think it's obviously expanding to try to get a bigger role on the team, getting some more reps on offense, becoming more of a factor in that scenario," said Remigio. "And then most importantly, my role as a returner, just being the best returner that I could possibly be, and the goal is to be the best in the NFL. So that's where I'm at."
Remigio played 14 games last season. He finished 2025 with 741 yards on 29 kick returns and 191 yards on 25 punt returns.
