Nick Kurtz's 2025 Topps Chrome Update Rookie Debut Patch Autograph sold for $516,000 Thursday to set a record for any Kurtz card sold at public auction.
Lot No. 3 in Fanatics Collect’s January Premier Auction, Kurtz’s debut patch is considered his best card and among the most significant cards created in 2025.
Kurtz was the unanimous American League Rookie of the Year in 2025 after slashing .290/.383/.619 with 36 home runs and 86 RBI in 117 games.
Kurtz’s RDPA is now the second-most expensive RDPA to sell at public auction, trailing only the $1.1 million paid for Paul Skenes’ RDPA at Fanatics Collect in March 2025.
Jackson Holliday’s RDPA is the third-place holder after fetching $198,000 at Fanatics Collect in March 2025.

The previous record for any Kurtz card sold at public auction, according to data tool Card Ladder, was the $86,620 paid for his 2025 Topps Chrome Rookie Autograph Superfractor 1/1 at Goldin in December.
