On April 24, Reggi Spotts officially committed to the Iowa State women’s basketball team. A standout 5-foot-8 guard from North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), Spotts is coming off an exceptional season where she earned NJCAA Division II first-team All-American honors. Her leadership helped propel the NIACC team to a stellar 28-4 record and a deep run into the national quarterfinals.
During the 2025-26 with the Trojans, Spotts proved to be a multi-dimensional threat on the court, averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Her offensive efficiency was high across multiple categories; she shot 40.9% from the field, 35.0% from three-point range, and a consistent 81.1% from the free-throw line.
One of her most dominant performances occurred on Jan. 31, when she reached a season-high of 30 points in a contest against Northeast Community College.
Spotts, an alumna of Mason City High School, demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout her time at the community college level, recording nine double-doubles over her two-year career at NIACC. She joins the Cyclones with two years of eligibility remaining.
