The National Football League has suspended Pittsburgh Steelers DT Daniel Ekuale for violating the Performance-Enhancing Substances policy.
Ekuale, who's on injured reserve after tearing his ACL against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, will be suspended for the next five games without pay for his violation.
Although on IR, Ekuale's suspension without pay will end when the Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.
Signing with Pittsburgh as a free agent in March, Ekuale was one of the Steelers' many offseason decisions designed to upgrade their run defense.
We at Steelers Wire will provide updates on Ekuale's suspension when or if more information becomes available, such as if the big defensive tackle attempts to appeal the NFL's decision.
