Sendlein and Duece were our highest rated OL. Interesing. Wells was our lowest.

Also Patrick was 13? And Becht 24?

Also Campbell and Branch both rated higher than Dockett who has a negative rating?

And Dansby was 17th. Rolle in the 60s. DRC 4th for CBs. McFadden terrible.

Ben Graham #2 for punters.

Obviously these ratings have to be taken with a grain of salt. Intersting stuff though. Thanks Czar

Campbell and Branch both rated very nicely. Campbell led all 3-4 DE's with 9 sacks and also had 29 pressures.

To be fair however Dockett was the one who drew the double teams, so you take all of this with a grain of salt, like you say. Concerning somewhat are still too many penalties and inconsistent #'s in the run game however.

I'm not sure that I can trust a list-maker whose #8 wideout in the NFL is Jerricho Cotchery and his 57 receptions and 821 yards. For comparison's sake, Cotchery is ranked 26th in the NFL by FootballOutsiders.

But I am going to bookmark this site because the player pages are awesome. Did Los get injured in the Titans game? He played every defensive snap this season save for that game...

EDIT: They have Ladell Betts ranked higher than Adrian Peterson. LOL.

i think derrick johnson can be a good addittion for our middle linabacker position..is fast and we dont have fast linabacker and then i saw that he had just 30% of the snaps compare to the other middle linabacker ranked, but is on the top about pressuring qb

I could be wrong but I thought that was the game he hurt his shoulder in.

If there were a CBA in place, I'd be all over Derrick Johnson to replace Dansby. But he's going to be tendered with a first-round pick (maybe a first- and third-), and that price is way too high.

I'm pretty sure this site isn't intended to say who is the better/more desirable player to have on a team but rather some form of efficiency rankings. As a result guys like Cotchery sometimes get a boost because they aren't the target of as many plays and guys like AP get docked for having fumblitis. Obviously whenever doing effeciency ratings you can't look at the ranking and say that that means one player is better than another, just that given limited action certain guys are performing admirably and other guys are struggling.

I don't know. That's what the guys at FootballOutsiders do. They say, "This is what we rate as "success" on first, second, and third and fourth down. How often is the player successful?" and that's how they do their rankings.

Even then, there's really no excuse for Ladell Betts to be rated some 15 places higher than All Day. Sorry, but if your ratings system doesn't begin to describe the reality of the games, then it's not a very good system. Do you think that Jerricho Cotchery is one of the Top 10 WR in the NFL today? Would his name even come up if I asked you to rank the Top 25 WRs?

No I wouldn't but I'm not sure this is even saying who they think is better or not. I didn't really look into the site enough to know for sure. I took away that the ratings are supposed to reflect who does the most with the opportunities they are given. That doesn't even mean they are all that great could just mean their coach knows how to use them. The thing with Ladell Betts is he seems to have a few really good games when Portis inevitably goes down every year then stops getting carries when he comes back. Obviously the coaches don't believe he can consistently do it or he would play more. These ratings don't factor in things like stamina.

Again they are to be taken with a grain of salt but still interesting.
