Legendary kicker Adam Vinatieri is going into the Indianapolis Colts' Ring of Honor before he goes into the New England Patriots' Hall of Fame.
The induction is set to take place later this year on October 18 during the Colts' Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Vinatieri made 336-of-394 field goals during his run with the Colts and 599-of-715 field goals throughout his NFL career. He made a name for himself off of his consistency and big-game kicks, including clutch championship-winning field goals for the Patriots at Super Bowl XXXVI and Super Bowl XXXVIII.
During the Colts' 2006 Super Bowl run, he made 14-of-15 field goals and went 100 percent on extra points in the postseason. Many view Vinatieri as the greatest kicker of all time, which led to him being voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026.
Now, he will be forever immortalized in the Colts' history.
Vinatieri is expected to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame at some point. He was beat out this year by legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski. So it isn't like the Patriots have completely ignored his accomplishments.
But there's also no question that Vinatieri deserves every accolade that comes his way.
