Unless you're somebody who watches the NFL Combine or if you're someone who cares deeply about NFL coaching searches, you've probably had some time to forget about football.
But it's time to start caring again because NFL free agency is about to start. And we'll get you ready for it right now.
Today we'll look at quarterbacks. A good free agent signing can turn a team's fortunes around. But a bad one can set a team back for years.
Here's what we see happening this year during free agency.
Free agency begins March 11 at 4 p.m.
The NFL legal tampering period begins on Monday, March 9 at 12 p.m.
NFL QB free agent predictions
Here's where we see the top quarterbacks ending up.
A lot of people have the former Arizona quarterback headed to Minnesota, which needs a quarterback, but Murray probably isn't the best fit there. Murray signs with the New York Jets. Prediction: Kyler Murray signs with the Jets
The Packers backup came up huge when called upon last year and proved to be a guy who can lead an offense. This will hurt Green Bay, but this is who ends up with the Vikings. Justin Jefferson gets a guy who can get him the ball. Prediction: Vikings
Kirk Cousins took over the Falcons offense at the end of last year and he looked fine. He seems like the kind of guy the Steelers will sign. They also need to draft someone because Cousins is maybe a one-year guy. Prediction: Kirk Cousins signs with the Steelers
As good as Geno Smith looked in Seattle was as bad as he looked in Las Vegas. He'll sign a prove-it deal with a team that needs an immediate starter. Why not Miami? It's not far from where the Miramar native was born and there are a lot more pieces in Miami than Vegas. Prediction: Geno Smith signs with the Miami Dolphins.
I watched a lot of Steeler games last year. Aaron Rodgers is done. He can still play, but he's no longer Aaron Rodgers. If he goes anywhere, I think he'll stay in Pittsburgh, but I think we've seen him play his final snap, at least for now. Prediction: Aaron Rodgers retires.
