NFL draft: Watch New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough's high school highlights

Tyler Shough, the newest quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, has come a long way since getting selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft.

The 6-foot-5 slinger out of Hamilton High School (Chandler, Ariz.)was part of the 2018 class, which included names like Trevor Lawrence and Brock Purdy. Originally, Shough committed to Oregon, where he eventually started seven games, but entered the transfer portal after that pandemic-gripped 2020 season.

Texas Tech was the next stop, where he started nine games while also battling a collarbone injury and a broken leg.

Following his time with the Red Raiders, he landed at Louisville — and he flourished, starting 12 games and picking up a massive win over Notre Dame in 2024.

Before all of it, though, the newest addition to the New Orleans Saints QB room was lighting it up in the Valley of the Sun on Friday nights.
