The Steel City faithful have a reason to celebrate — the Pittsburgh Steelers traded up in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft for a standout wide receiver.
On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the Steelers traded their No. 53, No. 135, and No. 237 overall picks to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for the No. 47 and No. 249 picks in order to select Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard.
Bernard, measuring in at 6-foot-1 and weighing 206 pounds, is one of the most versatile wide receiver prospects in the draft — capable of lining up outside, in the slot, or out of the backfield.
The Steelers may have been embarrassed by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Makai Lemon blunder, but the Bernard pick was the perfect way to right that wrong.
