Earlier this week, the NFL announced the referees for the conference title games this weekend.

In the NFC, Clay Martin will oversee the Seattle Seahawks' showdown with the Los Angeles Rams. In the AFC, Alex Kemp will serve as the head referee for the Denver Broncos' clash with the New England Patriots.

Kemp, 52, has been working in the NFL since 2014, and he's been a head ref since 2018. Kemp has previously officiated six wild-card games and one divisional round game. Sunday will mark his first conference championship.

During the regular season, Kemp's crew called 207 penalties, which ranked 10th among 17 officiating crews. He won't have the same crew in the playoffs, though, because the league changes crews for the postseason, only sending the best officials to the playoffs.

Home teams won 47.06% of the games that Kemp called during the regular season. Overall, Denver holds a 5-2 record in games officiated by Kemp. The Broncos are 4-0 at home with Kemp, including a 20-12 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. New England is 8-3 in games with Kemp as the ref, including a 3-0 record during the 2025 regular season.

Sunday's game (1:00 p.m. MT) will be nationally televised on CBS (more TV info).
