When the NFL announced the 2026 schedule last week, four Week 17 matchups were given "TBD" designations for their dates, times and television channels.
Those matchups feature the Washington Commanders at the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Chargers, the Los Angeles Rams at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Denver Broncos at the New England Patriots.
Of those four games, the NFL will pick two games to be played on Saturday, Jan. 2. One of the games will be played at 2:30 p.m. MT (4:30 p.m. ET) and the other game will be played at 6:00 p.m. MT (8:00 p.m. ET). The first window will be televised on NBC and the second window will be streamed exclusively on Peacock.
The two games from that four-game pool that aren't picked to be played on Saturday will be played on Sunday, Jan. 3. So, if the Broncos and Patriots are both in contention late in the season, that Denver-New England matchup will be a candidate to be flexed to a standalone Saturday window in Week 17.
