Bring me McDermott and Dabol
Again , not going to happen. You’re not going to want to hear this. Vance Joseph was the first interviewed. I think he was told the job is his if he wants it, but we have to do our “ due diligence” and pr work. I think he’s already verbally agreed to come here.
Vance has a good relationship with Bidwill.
Here’s the real punch in the gut. Vance was here before and knows Kyler. The “ bad coaches and OC” are gone. Kyler is under contract and could probably have a say on the next OC.

Yes I’m saying VJ is coming back and would be happy with Kyler returning. Get ready. You won’t have to stick your fingers down your throat to throw up. Be patient. It’s going to happen all by itself.

I like the fact the Saleh shows some kind of emotion when his defense does something good. Gannon just stands there with his arms crossed trying to act all Belichick like.. unless the running back drops the ball crossing the goal line.
We didn’t know it at the time, but the season ended right there - as did Gannon‘s head coaching career

Dang. With Saleh gone to the Titans the list gets very slim.

-- McDermott is the only one who really excites me but is a long shot to even pick up the phone.

-- Vance is more of a consolation prize that I would be OK with only if he moves off of Kyler. Will he move off Kyler?

-- Jesse Minter is intriguing but I really want a coach who had previous HC experience to build off of.

-- Shula is the same as Minter. Would rather have a HC with previous HC experience.

-- Kubiak is another very interesting choice. I would be fine with this hire if he managed to bring in Raheem Morris as his DC/assistant HC. Problem is he will most likely be coaching in the SB so just like the JG hire the Cardinals will start behind the 8 ball if they have to wait to hire him.

The other candidates do nothing for me. Which probably means the Cardinals will hire Arthur Smith or Mike McCarthy. :barf:

Not surprised at all that Saleh valued the Tennessee job over the AZ job. I've always thought we're in the same bucket as Cleveland and Vegas. Three franchises with no clear QB of the future and no recent history of organizational competence.

There's three plumb jobs left...Pittsburg, Buffalo and Baltimore, and there are more than 3 good coaching candidates left. I'd be happy with McDermott, Lafleur, Kubiak, Shula, or Minter. No reason one of them won't be our next coach(fingers crossed).

LeFleur has never been a successful play caller. He’d make me nervous.

The toughest part that comes with waiting for your HC is it limits the staff that they can bring in because so many new coaches are trying to get their guys in. It's why experienced coaches can be good as they potentially have built a lot of connections over the years. Kliff didn't have that and neither did Gannon.

In terms of where the job ranks....the division makes a tough gig even tougher. It is what it is. It's one reason I think Bidwill was inclined to keep Gannon until things went off the rails.

AZ was used for leverage, again. lol
The problem is...when a Coach uses us as leverage, it is 100% bulletproof. If they are halfway decent, they will get an offer from the Cards. Sheez, Mikey probably has offered the job to several of these candidates already and they haven't committed but we'll never know.

Yeah, it's over. The chance for us to screw up and hire Saleh is over.
Monti is requesting interviews with coaches who are already accepting other jobs. We're clearly not a serious landing spot for any of the top coaches, and we're going to settle for the last guy looking for a job, again.
